A 2024 rehabilitation led by Heiberg Cummings interior design firm gave this ’70s-era contemporary in Shelter Island Heights a modest renovation, keeping the original framing and bones but updating the home with a sleek, modern aesthetic. Stacey Cohen, who is representing the listing at The Agency, says the kitchen and bathrooms were completely overhauled, and on the exterior, the owners cleaned up the overgrown area between the house and the private beach area, as well as the beach, and created paths, gardens and dining areas around the house.

Also nearby are Shelter Island Yacht Club and the Shelter Island Country Club, a public golf course. The Sylvester Manor Educational Farm, a 236-acre educational site with walking trails, public programming (coming up: a farm-to-table cocktail class) and a farmstand, is 1.5 miles.
