In honor of Almond celebrating 25 years this month, co-owners Eric Lemonides and chef Jason Weiner are bringing back their original menu from when they initially opened, for a one-night dining event set for this Wednesday, April 15.
Throwing it back to their very first menu from when they opened on April 12, 2001, regular disciples will be sure to recognize some of the Bridgehampton institution’s staple items — roast chicken with crushed potatoes, steak frites, escargot, steamed mussels — while a few extra bistro-centric favorites —salmon with French green beans and béarnaise, herb-crusted flounder provencal, croque monsieur — are also slated to be thrown into the mix.
A very on-brand, Almond-coded culinary affair, perhaps the greatest perk of choosing to dine this Wednesday night at the beloved bustling resto is the price, which reflect the same prices from the original menu from a quarter century ago. Wild, but how awesome, right? And let’s be real, where else are you going to be able to snag a $12 hamburger deluxe this side of the Canal?
For decades now, Almond has been the friendly neighborhood joint that’s open year-round serving up a curated culinary cache of both popular bistro fare and unique, modern riffs on familiar classics found across the globe, while always highlighting locally grown or sourced ingredients.
Almond is located at 1 Ocean Road in Bridgehampton. For reservations, call ’em up at 631-537-5665 or book it on Open Table.
