Shelter Island’s Susan Schrott really wants you to live your best life.
Her 2023 self-published book, “Rise with Radiance: Drawings and Inspirational Words to Light Your Path Every Day of the Year,” is testament to that. In it, Schrott delivers a more than healthy dose of daily affirmations, accompanied by paintings she made herself on woven textiles, to not only bring positivity to your day-to-day but to your whole year. Dubbed a sleeper hit on the East End, her book is available on the island at Finley’s Fiction and Pure Soul, as well as Clarke’s Garden & Home and in Greenport Pilates & Yoga.

Emily Toy is a lifestyle reporter for southforker.
