As we get older, it can seem like so much of Halloween revolves around kiddie costume parades and buying a gigantic bag of candy for all three trick-or-treaters who roll up to your door. And hey, there’s nothing wrong with either (especially because you can enjoy that candy until New Year’s Eve).
But Halloween is not just for kids. That’s a trick. Around the South Fork, there are plenty of organizations, bars and restaurants with plenty of treats up their sleeves and not just the R-rated, gives-you-nightmares-for-weeks variety (though that’s an option). G- and PG-rated Halloween fun is also “in the bag” — think puppies and Zumba.
In other words, the South Fork’s Halloween offerings for adults are like a gigantic bowl of candy left on a front porch: There’s something for every taste. Or, you can be that person and take (in) pretty much everything. From Riverhead to Montauk, here’s how and where to celebrate Halloween,
