Commitmentphobes, rejoice! Heathcote Bakery has launched a mini-mini version of their popular, thin version of the classic chocolate chip, ready for on-the-go or beachside noshing.

The new addictively crispy chocolate chip minis are about the size of a quarter and made from a pretty stand-up grandma’s kitchen roster of ingredients: flour, butter, organic brown sugar, cane sugar, eggs, semi sweet chocolate, Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract, baking soda and Kosher salt. The latter adds a little wonderfully salty kick to the cookies, often missing in other lesser versions of the time-honored American sweet staple.

Heathcote was launched by Westchester native and frequent Hamptons dweller Suzanne Lyon (a last name with excellent culinary provenance, no?), a home baker who decided to go pro with her full-size version of the slender-style, crisper cookie and, recently, the pop-’em-like-its-hot minis.

But don’t let its thinness fool you — this is no Frankel-esque foray into (yawn) less-is-less treats. For Lyon, a lacy, thinner-style chocolate chip is a full-fat choice, making the flavors punch high and the texture a nearly addictive crunch, crunch, crunch.

Launched in 2025, the crispy bite and flavor punch caught the attention of chef Bobby Flay and national star-maker extraordinaire, Oprah Winfrey.

With good reason: They are excellent. And now you can grab the big or newly launched mini versions at all Hamptons-based Citarellas. Go getcha some!
