The Southampton-born Tate’s Bake Shop celebrates summer in a new partnership with Hampton Jitney, part of the beloved baked good brand’s “Baked Better” campaign.
Since July 13, a special custom-wrapped Jitney coach donning the Tate’s Bake Shop design — inspired by the brand’s signature chocolate chip cookies and easy-to-recognize green bag packaging — is on the roads. Additionally, according to a press statement from Tate’s, all passengers traveling on all Hampton Jitney trips between New York City and the East End will be given complimentary miniature versions of Tate’s iconic cookie, fittingly named Tiny Tate’s cookies.
Anchoring the coach’s design is the tagline “Real Ingredients. Baked Better” — a nod to the supposed unrelenting commitment to quality that’s shaped the bake shop’s ethos since it first opened as Kathleen’s Bake Shop, originally founded by North Sea’s own Kathleen King. In 2000, King’s bake shop was re-established as Tate’s (named for her father’s nickname) before she sold it to Mondelēz International — the Chicago-based global snack food and beverage company known for popular brands like Oreo, Cadbury, Clif, Toblerone and Ritz.
“Baked Better is about celebrating the delicious taste, craft, and quality that have defined Tate’s from the very beginning, and inviting more people to experience the joy of a Tate’s cookie,” says Jennifer Hull, Head of Marketing at Tate’s Bake Shop. “Through our partnership with Hampton Jitney, we’re celebrating our Hamptons Bake Shop roots and those simple, memorable moments that make summer so special, from a sweet treat on the way to the beach to ice cream sandwiches on a sunny afternoon.”
Tiny Tate’s cookies will be offered on all Hampton Jitney trips to and from New York City and the East End while supplies last.
