Last month, riders of the Hampton Jitney’s Ambassador got a big, caffeinated boost.
Aldo’s Coffee Company (103-105 Front St., Greenport, 631-213-9353) has partnered with the Jitney to bring Ambassador riders premium coffee while onboard. Passengers looking for a little pick-me-up are welcome to enjoy a cuppa of freshly brewed Orient Espresso, a signature dark roast blend from the beloved Greenport-based artisanal coffee roaster, in operation since 1987.

Spearheaded by Hamptons-based Onda Marketing, the collaborative campaign also includes a chance for riders to win a year of free coffee as well as 25% off any online order. Simply scan the onboard QR code found on custom Aldo’s coffee cups and seatback trays or spot and scan the QR code on the newest member of the Ambassador’s fleet — dubbed the Ambassador Espresso — a singular coach that’s adorned with Aldo’s branding.
Additionally, there’s the “Spot the Ambassador” challenge, where all community members can participate. The rules are simple, according to a press release: spot the bus, snap a photo, share it on Insta (by tagging @aldoscoffeecompany). Each post counts as an entry to win a discover box, a curated coffee sample that contains a quarter pound samples of Aldo’s eight organic, small-batch, artisan-roasted brews made from beans sourced all over the world.
