Just off the steady hum of Highway 27, Spring Close Farm (92 Spring Close Highway, East Hampton, 631-604-8379) re-opened in May 2021 following a restoration of the land and store. Owner Harry Pinkerton reimagined the 1.4-acre property as a boutique haven, pushing beyond the traditional concept of a roadside stand and creating a destination where the landscape hosts everything from private dinners to brand activations seasonally, seven days a week through Labor Day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The ever-open doors to the quaint outbuilding, hung with Pinkerton’s signature Kelly green sign, invites you in to explore the well-curated selection of artisanal provisions perched on rustic shelves. For Pinkerton has a keen eye, seeking out small-batch producers who focus on doing things right rather than just scaling fast. “I want products that actually taste good and feel intentional,” he says, “like the person who made it really cared.” It’s an ethos that defines the experience here. “The one thing I hope people take away is the good vibe that’s all over the farm,” he says. “It’s full of color, art and really beautiful nature that all blends in a way that feels easy and alive.”
