The Sag Harbor Cinema is, hands down, one of our favorite places to catch a movie, and the bonus of pre-flick cocktails made by the very talented house mixologist Deborah Lee only adds to the entertaining appeal. If you weren’t aware, access to the Green Room, the theater’s bespoke rooftop bar, is only afforded to those who buy a movie ticket (a pretty great date night, if you ask us), and it’s worth the price of admission. Lee is a spirited tinkerer of tipples, and we love trying out her balanced and bright concoctions.

Lately, our favorite is the Maverick Margarita, for which Lee employs a tequila-based pomegranate liqueur that’s the secret to this excellent holiday riff on the ‘Rita. “It gives a subtle flavor and isn’t overly sweet like a regular pomegranate liqueur,” says Lee. “With its tequila base, it’s perfect to the Margarita.” And with Sag Harbor Cinema’s screening of renowned Mexican director Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, sipping on this is a pretty great way to start the show.
