Well, it was a quite a week for the U.S. airline industry and all the subsequent people who have to deal with it.

The long, long, long, long, long lines that no TSA PreCheck, Global Entry or Clear status could remedy. Lines snaking all the way into airport parking garages. Cancelled flights. It seems like the only thing that’s going up on any reliable basis is the price of fuel. Ouch.

So maybe you’re reconsidering that big trip to Paris in the spring? We wouldn’t blame you. C’est la vie, as they say — but maybe shake up the vie with a cocktail that makes you feel like you’ve taken a little trip away from the normy-norm.

When we saw this oh-so elegant citrusy sipper from our friends over at Bombay (gin is IN, people!), we thought it seemed like as good a magic carpet as any. Pick up a bottle at Race Lane Liquors in East Hampton, Bottle Hampton in Southampton (and, well, pretty much anywhere — Bombay is well-distributed and well-liked, and for good reason).

Bonus: You get to use words like pamplemousse instead of grapefruit because everything sounds and tastes better in French.
