Solve a mystery over dinner at R.aire
A Murder Mystery Dinner is at R.aire at the Hampton Maid (259 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, 631-728-4184) tonight beginning at 6 p.m. Disaster strikes at a 1950’s prom when someone on the dance floor shows up dead. It’s up to you and your dining friends to figure out whodunit and get the dance back on track. The evening will include a welcome cocktail, a three-course dinner, in addition to the interactive murder mystery show! For those age 18 and older and pre-assigned communal seating will occur. Take in some new and old tunes at LTV
East End Underground Live Concert Series presents “Pure Joy,” with of Paige Patterson tomorrow, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at LTV Studios (75 Industrial Road, Wainscott, 631-537-2777). The concert is a revitalization of timeless music from a “bygone era,” with selections spanning genres from Sinatra to Santana to Harlem Renaissance, classic soul, Broadway hits and foreign language singing. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. VIP reserved cafe table seating will also be available for $50 per person and includes a drink ticket. On Saturday, Oct. 25, powerhouse performer Inda Eaton takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Bringing her signature blend of storytelling, grit and groove-ability, the genre-defying troubadour will explore how we all connect to music. Tickets are $40 per person in advance, $45 at the door. VIP reserved cafe seating will be available for $65.
Listen to music, weave for eelgrass at Kidd Squid
Live music with Two Shoes, the acoustic band featuring local brothers Robert and Richard Schumacher, perform at Kidd Squid Brewing Co. (11 Spring St., Sag Harbor, 631-500-0533) tomorrow night at 4 p.m. Additionally, at the same time, there’ll be “Back to the Bays” workshop, an opportunity to Help Cornell Cooperative Exentsion’s Marine’s Team in an eelgrass restoration effort by helping weave eelgrass shoots into burlap “tortillas” for transplanting. Free to participate.
Sip whiskey, savor barbecue in Sagaponack
Celebrate New York State whiskey alongside New York Distilling company and Great Jones Distilling at the tasting room at Sagaponack Farm Distillery (369 Sagg Road, Sagaponack, 631-537-7300) this Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. Spirit sampling, cocktails and the best hometown barbecue, brought to you by the fine folks at Townline BBQ, will all be available for attendees.

Theater and Halloween-inspired disco at Guild Hall
Tomorrow at 7 p.m. Guild Hall in (158 Main St., 631-324-0806) in East Hampton hosts “National Theatre Live,” a session of live theatre broadcasted via satellite from London’s National Theatre. Broadcasted is Inter Alia, the new play by Suzie Miller starring Rosamund Pike, that premiered at the theater earlier this year. General admission is $20. Snag your tix here. Bust a gut at Bay Street
The Ha Ha Hamptons Comedy Tour, now in it’s third season, returns to Bay Street Theater (1 Long Wharf, 631-725-9500) this Saturday night in Sag Harbor. Kicking off at 8 p.m. and featuring an all-new lineup of some of the best and funniest comedians working today, including Eric Tartaglione, Moody McCarthy, Kyle Mara, Rob Falcone, Paul Anthony and a surprise guest. Attendees are sure to enjoy an evening of non-stop laughter and hilarious fun. Tickets start at $42.
View Bonac-inspired art in Springs
Bonac Print Shop hosts its 4th annual Art Invitational with a reception at Ashawagh Hall (780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton), with the exhibition on view this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Curated by Springs native and Three Mile Media owner Ryan Sherman, the exhibition features more than 45 East End artists showcasing original pieces alongside a curated print shop.
Enter the Bridgehampton Lions Club carved pumpkin contest
The 27th annual pumpkin carving contest is at the Corwith House/Bridgehampton Museum on Montauk Highway (across from the Bridgehampton Community House), helmed by the Bridgehampton Lions Club, is on Sunday starting at 5 p.m. All ages are welcome to participate and there are some big money prizes awarded to first, second and third placers across a slew of categories. The only catch is, you MUST submit a completely finished work into the contest (no extra carving on contest grounds!). Also, it’s worth mentioning, the judging happens when it’s dark out, so make sure your entry glows properly. The Lions Club recommends good old candlelight for this, but other safe lighting sources are acceptable. That being said, don’t rely on an electrical source. Drop off starts as early as 4 p.m. and there’ll be snacks and cider by Milk Pail, music from the Marimbas Club from the Bridgehampton High School, a puppet show by Liz Joyce and Goat on a Boat at 5:45 p.m., with the judging beginning at 6:15 p.m. Winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m.
