House proud
Built in 2001 and renovated in 2022, this home blends classic style with modern conveniences and a healthy twist on amenities.
“I think the owner was very open to making more modern choices,” says Deirdre Jowers, the Corcoran agent representing the listing. “The owner lives a healthy lifestyle and in the renovation, added a cold plunge pool and sauna on the deck.” He was also mindful of other improvements for the “health” of the house by installing energy-efficient HVAC systems and a whole-house generator.
What’s the plan?
“It’s a large house but not overwhelmingly so,” says Jowers, noting the layout is conducive for small and large families, offering numerous flexible spaces and with separation between the primary and other bedrooms offering privacy, and multiple outdoor spaces for gatherings or quiet enjoyment.
The 2,506-square-foot first floor opens to a grand double-height foyer and includes four bedrooms; three of them are en-suite and the fourth has access to a full bathroom in the hallway. Two bedrooms have walk-in closets. The upper floor features an open format great room with vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, dedicated sitting and dining areas and adjoining the kitchen. The primary bedroom suite makes use of the turret and features a fireplace, oversized bathroom and walk-in closet and a private deck. The third floor is one large, finished room suitable for an office, study, rec room or other use.

What’s cooking?
The large chef’s kitchen is equipped with Thermador appliances and the custom cabinetry is topped with Caesarstone. It includes a walk-in pantry with a wine fridge. Overall, Jowers says, “there’s an incredible amount of storage” and with enough space to work with a couple of people in the kitchen, she says, “It lends itself to entertaining—you can do a major, major spread here.”
What else?
The bathrooms showcase the level of detail in the careful renovation. All bathrooms have radiant-heat floors and in the primary, which features a Boffi soaking bathtub beneath a large window, the marble pattern in the shower is bookmatched with symmetrical markings making a striking design.

Some of the rooms are located in the turret and offer romantic and expansive views out the windows. The primary bedroom in particular makes used of the space, using the turret as a sitting area.

Agent’s callout
“This section of Quogue has well-placed, period houses that are remarkable—it’s an Old World neighborhood with New World aesthetics.” She noted that not many homes in Quogue’s estate section come on the market and this—completely renovated and turn key—makes it an attractive offering.
Location, location, location
Jowers calls the estate neighborhood “low key,” noting that the home’s location at the end of a cul de sac makes it particularly serene. It’s a stone’s throw from the canal and Odgen Pond, and .6 miles from Quogo Neck Lane Park/Marina. Quogue Village Beach is 1.9 miles from the home. The historic district is across the canal on Dune Road.
