Earlier this month, Naturopathica, the East Hampton-born, botanical-based day spa, opened its second Hamptons location inside Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton.
Now in its 30th year, the holistic healing hub brings its signature skincare, myriad massage and overall wellness practices to the luxury boutique hotel. And the best part: it’s accessible to both Topping Rose guests as well as members of the community.

“Hotels have always provided a natural home base for our spas,” says Cathy O’Brien, chief executive officer at Naturopathica, “and Topping Rose House offers a luxurious level of high-touch hospitality that creates a tranquil environment for our guests to heal.”
Presently, Naturopathica boasts two locations in Manhattan (inside the Nexus Club in Tribeca and at the Chatwal Hotel in Midtown), as well as a location each in Palm Beach (at The Colony Hotel) and Aspen (the Mollie Hotel). The new Bridgehampton-based spa features a four-bed, 400-square-foot space offering Naturopathia’s full menu of services, including their signature defy facial and chill massage, according to a press release, as well as their specialized oncology care treatments, specially designed to help repair, restore and comfort skin that requires extra care due to harsh chemotherapy or radiation treatments undergone by cancer patients.
The latter is a line close to the CEO’s heart, as she herself underwent breast cancer treatment back in 2023 (about a year and a half after she started at the company) and thus utilized the extensive oncology care treatments to mitigate the severe skin dryness and sensitivity she was experiencing, brought on by the cancer treatments.
“I got to experience our own program and it was phenomenal, the experience of actually knowing what that particular type of massage therapy feels like when your body is being, you know, ravaged by chemo and radiation,” she says. “It accelerated my skin healing. It’s like a godsend.”

Originally founded in 1995 by esthetician, massage therapist and herbalist Barbara Close, Naturopathica is revolutionary in terms of holistic health, taking the lead in providing native East Enders and visitors alike with a legacy of the healing power of touch. Treatments include massage-based facials that help address dry skin, acne and hyperpigmentation. There are also prenatal facials available as well as lymphatic facial massages. Traditional massages run the gamut, too, ranging from 60 to 90 minutes, meant to calm, relax and nourish both your skin and your muscles. Naturopathica also carries an extensive line of skin care products, including the renowned Calendula essential hydrating cream, originally formulated to soothe Close’s mother’s skin while undergoing chemo.
“We’re expanding and growing and this partnership just feels so right for us. It makes so much sense,” O’Brien says of the new Bridgehampton location. “The way we continue to evolve, of course, is that we continue to offer a quiet space for people to really use their time and energy for healing purposes. So, they come to any one of our spaces and it’s very consistently relaxed and easy going.”
Treatments can be booked here. Naturopathica at Topping Rose House is located at 1 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike.
