As we head into a holiday weekend, the air around celebrating all things South Fork remains thick as ever. For this particular weekend, there’s an even share of fun and fall-themed fests happening all across the South Fork. Head to Montauk for the Chamber of Commerce’s annual autumnal celebration (complete with chowder contests, live tunes and a slew of purveyors slingin’ some seriously good local food and drink) on the village green or belly up at Kidd Squid Brewing Co. in Sag Harbor for a weekend-long celebration dedicated to Oktoberfest.

Speaking of October, it’s breast cancer awareness month. On Saturday morning, the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center is hosting a walk for cancer awareness, culminating in a lunch and talks from survivors. Also on Saturday, Quogue Library is hosting a community service initiative while also supporting Quogue Wildlife Refuge and Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation.

If you’re feeling extra generous — with your money or your time, or both — head to downtown Westhampton Beach for the annual Inlet 2 Inlet beach cleanup and fall fair. Both events give back to some pretty awesome local organizations, plus you get to clear the crud off our beloved beaches.
