As the dog days of quickly approach, the Hamptons rev up for a spectacular ending to the month of July, chock full of good music, good causes and all around good times. Girl power is prevalent at The HUB in Bridgehampton, as prominent business women of the East End will be featured on a handful of panels. LTV in Wainscott hosts a trio of top-notch entertainers performing a cabaret style show filled with pizzazz. A duo of galas hit the Hamptons this weekend: one for the Shelter Island History Museum, the other at Southampton Arts Center to benefit the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center.

Take in two exhibitions at Guild Hall

Artist Mary Heilmann’s “Water Way” comes to Guild Hall (158 Main St., East Hampton, 631-324-0806) starting this Sunday night. The artist’s first large-scale solo presentation set within an institution on the East End, the exhibition showcases Heilmann’s practically life-long priority of living in close proximity to water. The show will include works on paper, ceramics and paintings spanning from the 1980s to the present day. Also on Aug. 3, Joel Mesler’s “Miles of Smiles” opens at the East Hampton locale. The former art dealer and collector’s exhibition mimics his studio, with the space functioning as a gathering and meeting place where he’ll host office hours. Both exhibitions will be on view through Oct. 26.
