If you or someone you know is a classic car enthusiast, the Parrish Art Museum (279 Montauk Highway, Water Mill, 631-283-2118) has a new exhibition to get revved up for!

Earlier this month, the Parrish partnered with Hedley Studios on an outdoor exhibition featuring fully electric, totally unique recreations of legendary automobiles.

Featuring three limited edition, scaled down models from Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Bugatti, the exhibition, which started on July 3 continuing through August 23, is a tangible representation of the intersection between fine art, quality craftsmanship and engineering excellence. Each Hedley is numbered, signed by the artist, and features an official chassis plate from the automotive OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Produced at 66–85% scale, Hedley Studios automotive icons are powered by zero-emission electric propulsion systems.

Renowned all over the world for being the leading expert in producing driveable art, Ben Hedley, founder and CEO of the British-based company, says bringing the select three scaled-down models to the Parrish was a “natural fit.”

“We have several wonderful art collector clients in the Hamptons,” Hedley says. “Not surprisingly, many of them suggested the Parrish as a stunning destination for art lovers. The Parrish celebrates design and craftsmanship and recognizes our automotive history recreations as tributes to the original artisans who inspired them, as well as to our own team of artisans who handcraft them today. The setting and architecture are also unparalleled and provide an incredible backdrop. From the start, the entire team at the Parrish — from the director and curators to the installers and more — has welcomed us in a true spirit of partnership.”

According to Hedley, the Ferrari Testa Rossa J, the Aston Martin DB5 J and the Bugatti Baby II are the foundational icons of Hedley Studios. Each one represents a seminal moment in automotive design history and influence car design that followed. While the company will be introducing important new recreations in the year ahead, the founder says these are the drivable artworks that launched the studio in the first place

“We are the only brand globally that is officially licensed to create such beautiful pieces in partnership with each marque, and our clients appreciate that,” Hedley says. “Authenticity is a core tenet of Hedley Studios. Every partnership we enter is a collaborative process that shares knowledge, experience and expertise while remaining true to the design, spirit, and heritage of the original model. Our team of engineers and designers works closely with their counterparts at each OEM brand, gaining access to original designs and sharing techniques and skills.”

Each Hedley Studios piece is handbuilt at in Oxfordshire, UK, with vehicles delivered to over 60 countries across six continents.

Additionally, Hedley Studios will donate to the Parrish for car sales resulting from the installation exposure, and for sales completed by November 23, 2025. “The Parrish has been immensely generous in providing use with a beautiful summer home,” Hedley says. “We will be equally generous in return. We love the idea that the museum will benefit from sales made to visitors who have discovered Hedley Studios in Water Mill.”

According to a press release from On Friday, August 8, the museum will host a Parrish Collectors’ Talk, offering an in-depth conversation about the convergence of art, design, and automotive heritage, with Hedley and invited guests.
