The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) is the biggest and longest-running pro beach volleyball tour in the nation. And this weekend, it’s returning to East Hampton for the second year in a row in what’s sure to be a serve, set, spike showdown between league teams.

Featuring the world’s best in elite pro players, including a handful of Olympians along with league champions and MVPs, the tour comes to Sí Sí Restaurant, part of EHP Resort & Marina, overlooking Three Mile Harbor in the Springs area of East Hampton, this Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26 — part of the tour’s seventh stop of this year’s season. The league features city-based franchises — this weekend’s teams are the Austin Aces, Brooklyn Blaze, Miami Mayhem and San Diego Smash — consisting of both male and female athletes. Each city’s roster is made up of one men’s duo and one women’s duo. Eight matches will be played over the course of the weekend, with the standings for each city based on the combined performance and points of both its men’s and women’s pair. According to a news release from the league about 300 tons of sand was trucked in to create a beach volleyball court at the Springs locale.

On both Saturday and Sunday, doors open at noon and competition starts at 1 p.m. In addition to the games, the weekend will also include additional live entertainment and a curated selection of food and beverage. General admission tickets start at $85 per person, each day, with limited Endline VIP and VIP courtside boxes available. On-site valet will be available to add on to your ticket purchase at checkout. No self-parking options will be available on-site, so keep that in mind and maybe carpool or use a rideshare service.

Sí Sí is located at 295 Three Mile Harbor Hog Creek Road, East Hampton.
