This weekend marks the start of LTV Studios‘ “Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea” — a live cabaret and Broadway-themed concert series that runs for the next two months.
Produced by Donna Rubin and LTV creative director Josh Gladstone, “‘Hamptons Summer Songbook By The Sea’ has become a distinctive cultural fixture on the East End,” says a press statement from LTV, “pairing world-class performers with the intimacy of a soundstage environment. The series offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience Broadway, cabaret and the American songbook up close in one of the Hamptons’ most creative community media spaces.”
Now in its third season, the series kicks off this Sunday, June 28, with Broadway star Norm Lewis at 7:30 p.m. Making his Hamptons debut is the Emmy, Grammy, Tony and SAG Award-nominated Lewis, whose stage credits include “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess,” “Les Misérables,” “Ragtime” at Lincoln Center and the title role in “The Phantom of the Opera,” will entertain at the evening’s opening summer reception, accompanied by pianist Isaac Harlan. Slated to feature spirits from BottleHampton and passed hors d’oeuvres from East Hampton Kitchen before guests take their seats for the opening performance, LTV, a typically industrial-looking studio, will be transformed into a more intimate space, complete with cabaret-style seating. Additionally on Sunday, Jean Shafiroff will receive the 2026 Frances Ann Dougherty Award for Broadcast Philanthropy, an award that honors leadership, generosity and a commitment to using the power of media to strengthen the community. After Lewis’ performance, desserts from chef Annie Washburn will be served.
The acclaimed music series brings a star-studded lineup of celebrated cabaret and Broadway performers, with eight shows slated between Sunday and late August. Future performers will include Christine Pedi, Stephanie Pope, Mark Nadler, KT Sullivan, Pamela Morgan, Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano, Eric Yves Garcia, Maria Abous, Ann Hamptons Callaway, Klea Blackhurst, Billy Stritch and Donna McKechnie.
