Mix and mingle at il Buco Vita

Gather at Il Buco Vita (225 Montauk Highway, 631-267-5805) in Amagansett to talk all things interior design with Los Angeles-based designer David Netto this Thursday evening for an aperitivo and book signing from 4 to 6 p.m. Explore the latest collection of, created jointly by Netto and il Buco owner Donna Lennard, chat, mingle and enjoy refreshments from Channing Daughters Winery.

See a local artist at Grenning Gallery

East End native Darius Yektai will be the featured artist in the latest solo exhibition from Sag Harbor’s Grenning Gallery (26 Main St.,631-725-8469), with an opening reception tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This is the sixth solo show the gallery and Yektai have collaborated together on. Set to be on view until August 3, this exhibition sees the artist highlighting water lilies, a subject he gravitates to frequently, utilizing oil and acrylic paints as well as his now signature medium, resin, on canvas.

Hear some music in Montauk

Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, 631-668-6868) in Montauk hosts live music all month long. On Friday, DJ CK Beats will be spinning from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with DJ Spin Diesel taking the stage on Saturday. Same time, same place. Also on Saturday, Real East End Brass performs at Marlena’s Pack Out (408 West Lake Drive, Montauk, 631-406-4926) from 6 to 9 p.m.

Enjoy some top-notch tunes from a Broadway star

“Broadway and Beyond” with Tony and Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning Broadway star and recording artist Liz Callaway showcases her historic career in “Broadway and Beyond” at LTV Studios (75 Industrial Road, Wainscott, 631- 537-2777) on Saturday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. A musical journey featuring the songs from Broadway shows she has starred in, Callaway is also well-known for having provided the singing voices of many female characters in animated films, such as “Anastasia,” “The Swan Princess,” and “Beauty and the Beast,” so even though you may not recognize her face, you’ll probably recognize her voice. Drink and draw in Sagaponack

Sagaponack Farm Distillery (369 Sagg Road, Sagaponack, 631-537-7300) hosts an art opening featuring Brianna Ashe, the artist responsible for many of the labels used by Springs Brewery, 5 to 8 p.m. this Saturday. There’ll be a reception with fun food and drink specials as well as a “drink and draw” with Brianna. Art supplies will be provided. On Sunday, the distillery hosts a local wine and beer makers party from 2 to 7 p.m.

Travel back in time at East Hampton Library

Tom Twomey Series Talk “Let’s Get Down to Business” is tomorrow at East Hampton Library (159 Main St., 631-324-0222) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will travel back in time for a fun and informative virtual “walking tour,” complete with archival images and video, to highlight a variety of village storefronts and buildings. Presented by East Hampton historian Hugh King and the Anchor Society’s Bess Rattray. Free to attend.

Support local art and traditions

This Saturday, don’t miss the Clothesline Art Sale, a 79-year tradition at East Hampton’s Guild Hall (158 Main St., 631-324-0806) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. One of the most beloved Hamptons traditions, the art sale provides accessible artwork to the community, while supporting local artists who thrive there. Works range in price from $75 to $3,500, with all proceeds split between the artist and Guild Hall.

See a historical play on Shelter Island

“Once Upon a Runway,” the 2025 Shelter Island History Museum‘s annual summer show, debuts tomorrow at 6 p.m. This summer sees a collaboration with acclaimed local artist Roz Dimon, bringing her digital artwork, Havens House DIMONscape, to the stage. This innovative piece — on permanent display at the Havens House Museum — explores the 280-year history of the Havens family and homestead through a layered, immersive visual experience. Our performers will animate these layers, transforming visual storytelling into a live, multidimensional journey through time. Guests will be welcomed with refreshments before the show — and may even encounter historical characters mingling among them. There’ll also be a performance tomorrow, July 19, also at 6 p.m. Performances take place at 16 S. Ferry Road on Shelter Island. Tickets are $65 per person. Get yours here.
