A polar plunge at the most beautiful beach in the nation, an impromptu field trip to a restored, working, water-powered grist mill and some pretty serious tunage from some of the East End’s greatest entertainers are all on tap for this weekend.

Take the plunge for a cause at Coopers

Heart of the Hamptons “Moonlit Plunge” is tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. at Coopers Beach (268 Meadow Lane, 631-287-3450) in Southampton. While the actual plunge is slated for 8:30 p.m., the event will feature a DJ and music, games, face painting, burgers, drinks, s’mores and a bonfire. Tickets are $60 per person, free for kids 12 and under. All proceeds will benefit Heart of the Hamptons’ year-round food pantry and assistance program serving 3,200 families.

Blues and Broadway singers at LTV

The East End Underground concert series continues tonight at LTV Studios (75 Industrial Road, Wainscott, 631-537-2777) with award winning guitarist and blues entertainer Little Toby Walker tonight at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Tomorrow, July 11, it’s the Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea with beloved Broadway actor, singer, dancer, director and choreographer Lee Roy Reams, also at 7:30 p.m. Dubbed “Me and Betty,” the evening will feature Reams reminiscing (in story and song) about his up-close-and-personal relationship with screen legen Lauren Bacall née Betty Joan Perske. Tickets start at $60 in advance, $65 at the door.

See a historic mill in Water Mill

The Water Mill Museum (41 Old Mill Road, Water Mill, 631-726-4625) is having a live and in-person actual demo operating the huge grinding stones to grind! Hear music at the Game Farm in Manorville

Songbird Sessions, presented by Wildlife Sustainability, will feature original music from local singer-songwriters and national touring artists at the Long Island Game Farm in Manorville (489 Chapman Boulevard, 631-878-6644). This Sunday, July 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., Heart & Soul performs with singer-songwriters Bryan Gallo, Sarah Gross, and Inda Eaton, plus host Fred Raimondo. Admission is $20. Food by Castaway Catering is available pre-show featuring sandwiches, appetizers, cheese and crudité plates, and seasonal fruits. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available, too. There are picnic tables on the grounds. There is a three-minute walk from the ticket booth to the stage through the Wildlife Park. Golfcart transport (seats one) may be arranged for handicapped individuals by calling a day in advance.

Take in some tunes in Montauk

Real East End Brass performs at Salivar’s (470 West Lake Drive, 631-668-6252) in Montauk on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. Also in Montauk, Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, 631-668-6868) hosts music this Saturday and Sunday nights. On July 12, it’s DJ Mandy Beck from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by DJ Adam Lipson from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On July 13, DJ Chase Creighton takes the stage from 1 to 4 p.m.

Bring the kids to the movies in Southampton

Southampton Playhouse (43 Hill St., Southampton, 631-339-9069) introduces “Playhouse Jr.!,” catering to the youngest members of our East End community, with Sunday matinee screenings specifically curated for both young viewers and nostalgic parents alike. Starting this Sunday, Playhouse Jr. will feature a screening of classic Looney Tunes shorts at 10:30 a.m. (tickets are $11 for adults, $9 for kids). Additionally, before the show, kids will have an opportunity for some arts and crafts at the cinema, thanks to The Craft Studio, in the theater’s lounge.
