Still a little nippy out there, but spring is slowly starting to show through. In addition to all the Easter-centric happenings, this weekend is chock full of lively art, film and musical entertainment. The Madoo Conservancy (618 Sagg Main St., 631-537-8200) opens for the season tomorrow, so be sure to head there for some garden strolling. Make it a movie weekend at Southampton Playhouse
The Southampton Playhouse (43 Hill St., Southampton, 631-339-9069) is celebrating Easter weekend with a versatile lineup of films and goings-on for all ages. Tonight, celebrate the 45th anniversary of “The Fog” starring legendary scream queens (who happen to be a mother-daughter duo, the late, great Janet Leigh and Jamie Lee Curtis). Screening starts at 7:30 p.m. Tomorrow, April 18, catch the opening night of the new IMAX release “Sinners” at 7:30 p.m. Join in afterward for a special conversation about music and community with Jessica Elliot, executive director at the Southampton African American Museum (SAAM). On Saturday, hop on over to the cinema with the kids for a special Easter-themed screening of “Peter Rabbit” beginning at 11 a.m. Join in 45 minutes before the film starts for a special egg hunt and more fun Easter activity, in partnership with Stevenson’s Toys & Games. Catch a new exhibition at Grenning Gallery
Sag Harbor’s Grenning Gallery (26 Main St., 631-725-8469) hosts a new, three-person exhibition starting on Saturday with an opening reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Featuring works from renowned artists Tina Orsolic-Dalessio, Marc Dalessio and Emily Persson, the exhibit is a colorful montage of whimsically intricate portraiture, familiar seascapes and plein air flora captured from Sag Harbor, the Hamptons and all around the world. Persson, from Melbourne, Australia, the Croatian-born Orsolic-Dalessio, and California native Dalessio will all be present for Saturday’s opening, so be a good East Ender and show your support.
Hunt for duck eggs at The Big Duck
Friends of the Big Duck host a children’s hunt for “duck eggs” at The Big Duck (1012 Flanders Road, Flanders) on Saturday, April 19, at noon sharp. Families can help welcome the arrival of the spring season as kids age 2 to 9 years old hunt the grass field behind the historical landmark for filled colored eggs. Participants will be divided into three groups based on age, with a prize basket will be awarded to “The Good Egg” from each group. Family fun will include games and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Recommended arrival time is 11:45 a.m. and participants should bring their own basket. Admission is free and rain date is Sunday, April 26. For more info call 631-284-3737.

Hear the blues at LTV
East End Underground live concert series is at LTV Studios (75 Industrial Road, 631-537-2777) in Wainscott with “The LTV Blues Fest” this Saturday night. Featuring Kerry Kearney, Jack’s Waterfall, Mama Lee Rose & Frinds, Jake Lear and other special guests, the show runs from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, $15 for seniors and students. VIP reserved café table seating is $50 and includes a drink ticket.
Attend a preview farmers market on Shelter Island
The Shelter Island History Museum hosts a one-day preview for their annual, summer-long Spring Havens Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 16 S. Ferry Road. Market goers can enjoy food, beverages, music, story time with the Shelter Island Library, festive crafts and much more from East End-based purveyors, vendors and artisans. The farmers market returns for the season on May 24.
Enjoy an egg hunt at the park
The annual Sag Harbor Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt is on Sunday, April 20, at Mashashimuet Park (395 Main St.). Starting at noon, kids ages 2 to 10 are welcome to participate in a springtime honored tradition. Don’t forget to bring your Easter basket to collect all your eggs, including those special golden eggs with extra prizes! For a $5 donation, children can enjoy pony rides for a special springy experience. Fun goes until around 2 p.m.
