The holidays are rapidly approaching, but there’s still time to donate to the many toy, coat, and food drives happening in the community. Here’s a list of charitable groups that could use your help making the holiday a little brighter for those in need.

The Sag Harbor Lions Club Holiday Toy Drive, co-sponsored by the Sag Harbor Community Food Pantry and the Village of North Haven, is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys until Monday, December 16. Toys can be dropped off from Monday-Thursday from 2-5 p.m. and on Friday-Sunday from noon-5 p.m. at the Long Wharf windmill (7 Bay Street, Sag Harbor, 631-725-2368; sagharborny.gov), or at North Haven Village Hall (335 Ferry Road, North Haven, 631-725-1378, northhavenny.gov) from Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Toys will be distributed to families served by the food pantry.

Sotheby’s International Realty’s Coats for a Cause drive is in full swing and will collect coats until Tuesday, December 31. New or gently used coats for all ages may be dropped off at the following Sotheby’s offices: 2446 Main St., Bridgehampton, 631-537-6000; 6 Main St., East Hampton, 631-324-6000; 50 Nugent St., Southampton, 631-283-0600; sothebysrealty.com.

The Heart of the Hamptons (44 Meeting House Lane, Southampton, 631-259-3550) Holiday Star Program collects toys for all ages, as well as $25 gift cards for teens. Gifts can be dropped off at locations in Southampton, Sag Harbor, Hampton Bays and Quogue/East Quogue by Friday, December 13; see website for locations.

The Hampton Bays Fire Department’s annual Stuff a Truck Holiday Toy Drive (69 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, 631-728-9191) benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, which offers housing and support for families with sick children. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the firehouse at any time of day until Monday, December 9, or shop from the HBFD’s Amazon Toy List on their website and have toys shipped directly to them.

Stevenson’s Toys and Games (69 Jobs Lane, Southampton, 631-283-21110) will be collecting for Toys for Tots until Sunday, December 15; toys may also be ordered via their website for the program.  This national program administered by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve collects new, unwrapped toys from October to December each year and distributes them to needy children.

Westhampton Beach Village Hall (165 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, 631-288-1654) will also be collecting for Toys for Tots this season until Wednesday, December 11. Items can be dropped off from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
