Now that Labor Day is in the rearview mirror, plenty of locales can really strut their South Fork stuff for East End residents and visitors alike. As we’ve said before, September truly is the most beautiful time of year here in our little corner of the world. Piggybacking on that relaxed, feel good energy, this weekend sees lots of good music, good food and good times from Montauk to Manorville.
Southampton Arts Center hosts a jazz concert, the library in Hampton Bays hosts a performance from Long Island’s own country crooner Gene Casey, and Kizzy T’s in East Hampton has a duo of dj’s following their Latin-themed dinner service. They’ll be playing the Colombia v. Peru soccer game later tonight, so get there early to get a good viewing seat.
If you need to get a little exercise in, participate in a 5K at Mashashimuet Park on Sunday in Sag Harbor or take in a self-guided tour of some of the most pristine private gardens throughout East Hampton village and Wainscott.
Feeling festive? Get in the autumnal spirit with an Apple Festival at Cassidy Hill Farm in Manorville or chow down on some seriously good local seafood at the Montauk Seafood Festival on the Village Green.
Make this weekend your oyster.
