Rufus Wainwright makes his Guild Hall debut with a performance on Sunday. (Photo credit: Miranda Penn)

It’s considered, somewhat, to be the last hurrah of the season. As Labor Day quickly approaches us here on the South Fork, there’s no sign of a slow down as far as summertime action is concerned. Plenty of locales are celebrating all-things artsy, like the celebration of “Hispanics in Art” at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill and a chat with a New York Time bestselling author at the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton.

On the music front, singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright makes his Guild Hall debut with a performance on Sunday in East Hampton while Broadway star Christine Andreas sings at LTV Studios in Wainscott. If you really wanna rock out, don’t miss the heavy hitting, star-studded musical line-up for this weekend at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett. Pick whichever night, you really can’t lose. And if you’re looking for something a little more chill, swing by the Baker House in East Hampton Village for a sunset aperitivo with some samples from Sag Harbor’s Dragon Hemp Apothecary.

If you want to be less a part of “the scene” this weekend, hit up the South Fork Natural History Museum for some good, clean outdoor fun as there are a handful of nature walks and talks designed for all ages. Or, hike through Hither Hills in Montauk and take in all the natural beauty The End has to offer.

For those of you that are leaving the Hamptons for the season, hope you had fun! But for those of you that are sticking around, especially the locals that are from here, enjoy! The best month of the year is just beginning…
