If you can’t run like Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi you can at least dress like him with a T-shirt commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Shelter Island 10k.
The shirt , designed by author and potter Jonathan Adler and given to race participants, is now available for sale. The T-shrt can be purchased for $25 by emailing [email protected].
Keflezighi, an Olympic silver medalist, is expected to run the East End’s most prominent race this year.
If you don’t have the energy or lung stamina to actually participate (it’s OK, neither do we), you can still support its beneficiaries, East End Hospice, Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch, and the Shelter Island Run Community Fund by buying a shirt.
The 10k is set for June 21 p.m. at 5:30 p.m.
Runners can still sign up at www.shelterislandrun.com or www.nycruns.com for $38. The race is limited to 2,500 participants.
