Method
- Combine all liquid ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake until cold, about 10 to 15 seconds.
- Strain into an ice-filled double rocks glass. Garnish with a tuft of fresh mint. Cheers!
To make the strawberry syrup:
- In a small sauce pot, combine the sugar, water and strawberries over medium-high heat.
- Stir occasionally, allowing the mixture to simmer until the liquid thickens a bit and the strawberries release their color and juice.
- Allow to cool. Strain with a fine mesh sieve, discard the berries and store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
