House salad alla Arturo’s with Granny Smith apples and gorgonzola

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head romaine lettuce hearts
  • 2 vine ripened tomatoes, quartered
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, pitted
  • 1 Mexican cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Method
 

  1. Chop all of the applicable ingredients and place them in a bowl. 
  2. Mix the extra virgin olive oil, vinegar and seasoning to make vinaigrette. 
  3.  Toss the ingredients with vinaigrette. 
  4. Serve family style.
