Golden Sour

Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg white
  • 2 oz Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (see recipe below)
Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water

Method
 

Simple Syrup
  1. In a small sauce pot, combine the sugar and water over medium-low heat.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved and syrup begins to thicken slightly, about 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Golden Sour
  1. Add the egg white into a cocktail shaker. Dry shake (aka, without ice) for 20 seconds, or until egg white is emulsified and frothy.
  2. Add in ice and all other liquid ingredients. Shake for another 10 to 15 seconds.
  3. Strain into an ice-filled double rocks glass. Toast to the cinematic winners and getting rid of snakes, wherever they lie in wait.
