Blanket Finish

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 wedges charred nectarine
  • 1 oz Cointreau-soaked apricots (reserve 1/2 oz of soaking liquid)
  • 6-8 mint leaves, plus one robust mint sprig
  • 2 oz Michter's US*1 Small Batch Bourbon
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4-1/2 oz Laphroaig mist
  • 3 slices charred nectarine

Method
 

  1. Muddle the charred nectarine, apricots, mint, and lemon juice gently in a shaker.
  2. Add bourbon, apricot-Cointreau soaking liquid and ice to the shaker, and shake until well chilled, about 10 to 15 seconds. 
  3. Double strain over fresh crushed ice in a rocks glass. Finish with a light Laphroaig mist over the top.
  4. Garnish with mint sprig plus 3 thin slices of charred nectarine.
