No matter how much you crank up the volume, it’s hard to recreate a major musical performance in most movie theaters. But most movie theaters don’t have an IMAX screen. Following up on our hit showings of Becoming Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii earlier this year, PLAYHOUSE ROCK is our inaugural summer series celebrating an array of the greatest rock concert movies ever made.
Dance in the aisles, sing along, or simply gaze at the artistry towering over you: These are the joys of watching first-rate music documentaries under the best cinematic circumstances possible.
