Ellen’s Run 5K celebrates 29 years of leading the fight against breast cancer on the East End with its annual race/walk at 9am, Sunday, August 18th. The run, sponsored by The Ellen Hermanson Foundation and names the “Best Event in the Hamptons” for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and many previous years is a community celebration of life for residents and visitors alike. The race/walk starts and ends, rain or shine, at the Southampton Intermediate School, 70 Leland Lane, Southampton.
Team entries are welcome. Affiliated groups of five are considered a team. Teams can include both runners and walkers and each participant will be timed individually making that person eligible for individual awards.
The top female, male and breast cancer runner will be awarded a trophy. The first 500 finishers will receive a med al there are place medals for the first finisher in each age category. A beautiful rose will be waiting for each breast cancer survivor.
Runners are invited to sign up in at :Elitefeats 2024 The 29th Annual Ellen’s Run/Walk or day of until 8:59am. Children are welcome to participate in the kiddie run at 8:30am followed by Zumba warm-ups and music by DJ Roggie Rogg.
