Event Details
Eternal Testament is an exhibition reaffirming that Sag Harbor, including this “church,” occupies the traditional homelands of the Montaukett and Shinnecock Nations. By featuring works by Native artists regionally and from across the country that incorporate wit, irreverence, and playfulness —tools for survival and healing— the exhibition asserts Indigenous presence and sovereignty as artists reclaim space, “temporarily transforming a site of forced assimilation into one of resistance and refusal,” according to Roberts.
Juxtaposing themes of whaling, indenture, land loss, and Western religious and spiritual iconography with playful yet pointed commentary, the exhibition invites viewers to reconsider their perceptions of Eastern Long Island, raising critical questions about how we engage with Indigenous history and the land we occupy. Featuring Natalie Ball, Jim Denomie, River Garza, Elisa Harkins, Durrell Hunter, Chaz John, Emily Johnson, Cannupa Hanska Luger, James Luna, Rachel Martin, David Bunn Martine, New Red Order, Cara Romero, Denise Silva-Dennis, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Adrienne Terry, Tyrrell Tapaha, and Marie Watt.
Eternal Testament is free and open to the public Thursday to Monday from 11 AM to 5 PM beginning on Sunday, March 23, 2025 and ending Sunday, June 1, 2025.
This exhibition has been supported by the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation, www.rdlgfoundation.org

Meet illustrator, artist, and entrepreneur, Noelle Giddings and join us as we dive into her unique experience, exploring an artistic world of comic books, ready-for-television art, and more. Noelle is a treasure trove of insight and wisdom for young, aspiring artists! Her career trajectory has been one of a kind, leading her from comics and cartoons to roles in education and newly created positions within the entertainment industry.
Breaking into a male-dominated field, Noelle was one of the few female comic book artists for DC and Marvel. Spider-Man, Batman, Superman — Noelle illustrated some of the most memorable characters we know and love. She was also a founding member of Milestone Media, the first and only comic book company dedicated to creating a more culturally diverse comic universe. In addition to working in the much-loved genre, her work on animated Disney and Nickelodeon programs, including Doug, has been a source of joy for many growing up. She has created original art pieces for television and movie sets and has published children’s books and a graphic novel, too.

Presented by Front Row at Canoe Place, where music, dialogue, and art come alive.
From the 1950s to the 2000s, the Hamptons transformed from a peaceful, rural haven into one of the most exclusive and coveted vacation destinations in the United States. In the 1950s and 1960s, it was a charming retreat for New York’s elite, drawing artists, writers, and musicians seeking inspiration in its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Over the decades, the Hamptons grew in prestige, blending its bohemian charm with wealth and glamour, becoming the playground of the rich and famous.
The Canoe Place Inn, located in Hampton Bays, was at the heart of this transformation, acting as a social and cultural epicenter throughout the mid-20th century. From the 1950s to 2000, the Inn became a beloved gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, hosting elegant meals, lively parties, and gatherings that captured the spirit of the Hamptons. The Inn’s unique legacy and its revitalization represent the region’s evolving culture, deeply intertwined with the history and charm of this renowned coastal paradise.
We invite you to join us for an unforgettable evening that celebrates the legacy and timeless appeal of the Hamptons, with a special focus on the history and influence of Canoe Place Inn.

It is time to awaken your powers of stress relief and deep healing! Join wellness leader Joyce Brian, as she leads participants through a Yoga Nidra session. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping that comes with a plentitude of health benefits.
Bringing their own yoga mats and blankets for comfort, attendees will rest on the main floor of The Church as Joyce leads them through the deeply meditative practice, taking them from waking sleep to awakened consciousness. Relieving stress and promoting self-healing, Yoga Nidra taps into the third eye and journeys from alpha state to theta state consciousness. This journey helps you access your own intuition, creativity, and abundance and allows you to be present without self-image or “I,” thereby allowing your mind to explore yourself more fully.
Please dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat, pillow, blankets, and anything else that will make you feel comfortable. Chairs will be provided for those who prefer to sit rather than lie on the ground.

Let’s build and observe the wiggly world of worms together as we create our own worm hotel to take home! What’s a worm hotel? Worm hotels are essentially a teeny compost- you can feed the “hotel” and worms by adding scraps of food. As the worms digest they create nutrient rich soil that can be added to your garden. The Worm Hotel can live outside or inside. Excess water will need to be emptied every 2-3 days. Dump the nutrient rich soil in your garden and rebuild it again and again!

Special 45th-anniversary event with veteran film journalist Anne Thompson!
Help kick off our very first HORROR ON HILL STREET series with a classic of creepy filmmaking from genre maestro John Carpenter, who was recently inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Veteran film journalist Anne Thompson will join us before the film to discuss her early days as a unit publicist on the set of Carpenter’s atmospheric work, in which a small coastal town faces ominous forces after a mysterious cloudy mister engulfs their entire community.
Carpenter reunited with recently-anointed Halloween scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis as well as her mother, Psycho legend Janet Leigh, and Hal Holbrook for a masterful ghost story with a lot on its mind, including a dark past that gradually bubbles to the surface. That conceit is also at the center of the new vampire epic Sinners, as The Fog will help set the stage for the upcoming IMAX release later in the week.

Drawing inspiration from history and reimagined perspectives, Martine’s work explores the spiritual strength and vibrancy of historical figures while stylistically staying within the realm of realism. Martine will speak about his process, how he reimagines the world, and his purpose in selecting the historical scenes he portrays. Following the discussion there will be a Q&A with the audience.
Martine’s work The Northern Migration, a playful nod to Grant Wood’s American Gothic, is included in our exhibition Eternal Testament, on view from March 22 to June 1. (Exhibition hours: Thursday to Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Stop by the show and join us on Sunday to learn why Martine believes “art should uplift and elevate the soul and not dwell in the negative conditions of history and society.”

What does it mean to belong in a public space? How can we foster community involvement and participation through architecture and design? Hear the answers to these questions and more as Koray Duman and Setha Low join us at The Church for a panel discussion on the role of public space in society.
The panel was conceived of by Koray Duman, a NYC-based architect whose practice concerns public interactions with the built environment. In preparing for an extended stay in Sag Harbor as a resident at The Church, Duman began a dialogue with Setha Low, an expert on public spaces. Low is a Distinguished Professor of Environmental Psychology, Geography, Anthropology, and Women’s Studies, and Director of the Public Space Research Group at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Together, they share decades of combined experience across the fields of cultural affairs, environmentalism, and public design.
In their talk, our speakers will highlight how strategic design can amplify human interactions, while temporary activations cultivate generosity and belonging. They will also discuss the tools and resources that citizens can use to take over (politically), enjoy (personally), and participate (culturally) in public spaces.
Following the event, a public dinner will be hosted in the garden of The Church. In the spirit of activating public space and bringing together community, it will be free and open to all.

The Power of Poetry returns for the next verse! The Church is excited to invite you to join us for the third iteration of our poetry ‘read-in’ series Verse 3: I’m with the Banned, exploring voices who have encountered resistance and censorship. From Shakespeare to Shel Silverstein, poets throughout history have had their poems banned, restricted, censored, or challenged. What are the grounds for the limitations of expression? Let’s find out! Join us to give voice to poets Gwendolyn Brooks, Amanda Gorman, Shel Silverstein, Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde, and more.
We invite you to read, listen, and think about poetry in real-time in our main gallery space and join the community discussion following the read-in.
If you are interested in being a reader, please purchase/reserve a ticket first. After checkout there will be a link to the “request to read” form on your confirmation screen. Our team will reach out with the next steps. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

The tri-annual and award winning Long Island Restaurant Week (www.longislandrestaurantweek.com – (631) 329-2111) is ready to kick off spring with an opportunity to bring customers into Long Island restaurants! In a recent survey sent to diners, over 70% said they are very likely to dine out during Restaurant Week again in the future, and more than 45% said they dine out twice during the promotion. The Spring edition will take place from Sunday, April 27th to Sunday, May 4th, 2025, with several prix fixe options. Restaurants may offer a $24 two-course lunch, a $29 three-course dinner menu, a $39 three-course dinner menu and/or a $46 three-course dinner prix fixe. Restaurants may offer one, two or any combination of the four prix fixes during the promotion. Each participant is required to offer three options per course (appetizer, entrée and dessert) for dinner. Participating restaurants MUST offer the $24 two-course lunch prix fixe, $29, $39 or $46 three-course dinner prix fixe all night every night they are open (or during lunch hours) from Sunday to Sunday, with the exception of Saturday when it may only be offered until 7 p.m.
Back by popular demand, the Gift Card Giveaway returns for the winter promotion and diners have the option to enter to win one of three gift cards to redeemed at a participating restaurant of their choice. To enter to win, diners must visit the Long Island Restaurant Week website between Monday, April 21st, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. EST and Monday, May 5th at 11:59 p.m. EST and input their information. Winners will be selected on or around Friday, May 9th, 2025, and will be notified via telephone and/or email.
“On the heels of a very successful Winter Restaurant Week, the spring edition is sure to see more restaurants especially with the seasonal spots opening before the summer season kicks off. Winter Restaurant Week saw over 180 restaurants to choose from and we are expecting even more this spring. As 70% of foodies surveyed have shared that they plan to dine out during restaurant week it’s looking to be a busy week,” shares Nicole Castillo of Long Island Restaurant and Hospitality Group.

Event Details
The Westhampton Rotary Club is “all shook up” to start ‘spreading the news” about its upcoming fundraiser concert, “Elvis Meets Sinatra,” on Saturday, May 3, at 8 p.m. at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.
This high-energy show stars Lamar Peters, who is considered one of New York’s top Elvis impersonators, and Jesse Posa, a leading Frank Sinatra impersonator, performing along with their three-piece band.
Lamar Peters was the first Elvis tribute artist to perform at B.B. King Blues Club in Times Square and holds the title (4 years in row) for the best Celebrity Impersonator in the annual ‘Best of The Boro Contest” (Queens, Long Island, and Brooklyn). He also placed in the Top 3 in the Ultimate Elvis Presley tribute contest sponsored by Elvis Presley Enterprises. As a sought-after performer, his tribute to the King showcases the best songs of Elvis’ career.
Jesse Posa has performed as Frank Sinatra at Radio City Music Hall and B.B. Kings Blues Club in New York, in an Off-Broadway production of “Sinatra and Friends,” and is in demand at private and corporate events as far away as Dubai.
“We’re delighted that Lamar Peters and Jesse Posa are bringing this incredible tribute show to the beautiful setting of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center to help our Club raise funds so we can continue our good work in the community,” said Bill Dalton, president of the Westhampton Rotary Club. “It promises to be a fun night and we’re hoping for a great turnout.”
General admission tickets are $59 (including fees) or $52 (pay cash at the box office and save fees). VIP tickets, which include preferred seating and admission to a post-show reception and meet-and-greet with the performers, are $92 (including fees) or $81 (pay with cash and save fees). Visit whbpac.org or call 631.288.1500 for tickets. Contact Aimee Fitzpatrick Martin at 631.357.0016 for event questions.
