This cash-only hidden gem makes specialty lattes with homemade syrups, and if you’re in the mood for something sweet, there’s no better stop. Seriously — there are few places we know of where a black and white cookie latte is literally made with black and white cookie butter converted into a syrup. Coffee Booths also has homemade stuffed biscuits with eggs and bacon, ham and gravy and more. North Forkers will appreciate that their indulgent brews are made from Aldo’s coffee.
924 Montauk Highway, Shirley
Organic, small-batch coffee is the name of the game at Tend Coffee, which has blends ranging from the very dark Rhino Chaser roast to the Daybreak Blend, which Tend describes as “liquid sunshine.” Tend Coffee has a cafe, but home roasters can buy wholesale.
1113 North Country Road, Stony Brook
A Northforker staff writer wants you to know that Druthers’ cortado — steamed milk poured over a double shot of espresso — is among their favorite things. Period. Druthers also has a full food menu, including egg sandwiches, overnight oats, smoothies and more.
