Maybe a European vacation isn’t exactly in the cards for you and your significant other right now, but surely you can take your beloved out for a night of Romanian or Spanish-style cuisine at Brewology.
The recently-opened gastropub in Speonk will host Travel Tuesdays, offering foreign fare prepared by chef Lia Fallon.
Fallon, formerly of The Riverhead Project and Jedediah Hawkins Inn, opened the New American Cuisine restaurant this summer.
The three-course prix fixe menu includes a three beer or wine tasting flight (depending what is on the menu) for $30.
The first dinner of the series starts Sept. 30 and will feature German cuisine to celebrate Octoberfest.
That dinner will include a potato soup appetizer with beer-braised spuds and cheddar, topped with sausage bits and scallions. The entree is beef rouladen over buttered egg noodles with sweet and sour red cabbage. Dessert is a warm apple strudel served with vanilla ice cream.
Food from Greece, Spain, Romania and Italy will follow in the ensuing weeks. Check out Brewology’s Facebook page for the lineup each week.
